Payment & Booking

How much are the classes?
A single class is £4, or buy a Friends Card and get 10 classes for £30.

Why should I buy a Friends Card?
You get a total discount of £10. The Friends Card also entitles you to deals like cheaper yoga classes at Yoga Hero, discounted studio space at The Dance Studio Leeds and concession price on selected performances at The Riley theatre and Yorkshire Dance. Read more here.

Can I pay by card?
Unfortunately not - it is cash only so please bring the mula.

Do I need to book in advance?
The classes run on a drop-in basis, so no need to pay in advance - just turn up! The only time you will need to book in advance is for our occasional workshops. You can find details on how to do that together with the information about the workshop.

Timetable

What time does class start?
ProDanceLeeds offer morning classes five days a week: Monday to Friday. Classes usually run from 9.15-10.45am, but check our home page and social media as times sometimes vary.

Why are the classes so early?
We rely on in-kind studio space from our partners and available slots are usually between 9am-11am. Sometimes people also let us use their residency space and we don’t want to encroach on their creation time. We have taken on board your feedback about the starting times and will trial a 'lie-in month' in November with a 10am start.

Venues

Where are the classes?
We are moving between six different venues who are supporting us with free or discounted studio space: Northern School of Contemporary Dance, The Dance Studio Leeds, Yorkshire Dance, RJC Dance, Phoenix Dance Theatre and Northern Ballet. Find out more about the venues here. Also, check our classes section to find out where we are each week and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep updated with any last minute changes.

Other

I’m not a professionally trained dancer - can I come to the classes?
These classes are aimed at professional dancers so expect a high level and fast pace of teaching. That said - we sometimes have students in vocational training, or people who haven't trained professionally at all, come to class. We are a small and friendly community and we welcome anyone who wants to come and try out if a class is for them.

I want to teach for ProDance - how do I go about it?
We love hearing from people who want to teach for ProDanceLeeds. You can contact Kate who is in charge of programming on contact[at]prodanceleeds.com. She will ask you to fill out a form. Make Kate's life easier by downloading the form and sending it to her with your proposal.

I have some feedback about the classes for you - who should I contact?
We are always trying to improve the programme and that wouldn’t be possible without your feedback so please let us know of any thoughts you have. You can often find us in class (don’t know what we look like? Meet the team here) or just drop Rebecca a line on info[at]prodanceleeds.com

I know a really amazing teacher - can you programme them here?
If you take a great class and would like the teacher to come to Leeds - get their e-mail and pass it on to Kate at contact [at]prodanceleeds.com. If the class fits our programme we’ll do our best to get them up to Leeds.
